Here at The Basic Skills Centre, we are dedicated to helping your child to achieve their full potential. We adopt a child-centred approach tailoring lessons to the needs of the individual. Utilising our resource of

qualified and experienced teachers we aim to connect your child with the best teacher to suit their needs and deliver an individual program

tailored to develop each individual's skills. All our sessions are one to one, enabling each pupil to excel and progress at their own pace. 

 

Our Centre, based at Elmers End, was first established in 1998. We have always relied on personal recommendation from satisfied customers and we are now beginning to see a second generation from families who came to us in the past.

 

Initially specialising in Mathematics and English, we have expanded now to be able to offer other subjects and online tuition. We have teachers who are experienced in preparing pupils for entrance exams to private schools and for 11+ entrance tests and offer a range of subjects increasing in their specialisation to accommodate your child's educational needs from Key Stage 1 through to GCSEs and A-Levels.

We usually rely on an initial consultation interview with parents or guardians in order to determine which of our teachers is best suited for each pupil’s needs.
